JOINT SECRETARY

Responsibilities

The joint secretary will assist the general secretary in performing their duties and will act as the
general secretary in their absence. The duties of the general secretary include;
(a) conducting all correspondence of the organization
(b) to convene meetings in consultation with the president
(c) to oversee overall running of the organization in collaboration with the president
(d) Shall present the statement of account prepared by the finance secretary to the executive
committee every year which the General body will later on approve.

Eligibility

The candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in mental health care in one of the
following fields: psychology, medicine, nursing, or sociology. They must have received training
in cognitive behaviour therapy. They must also be eligible for accreditation with their respective
professional College and professional licensure body. Those accredited as CBT therapists will be
given preference.

Reporting responsibilities

The joint secretary will report directly to the general secretary and through the general secretary
to the president.
